Originally from Chicago, Dr. Ramin Fathi earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College, graduating at the top of his class and inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed dermatology residency at the University of Colorado Denver and fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at UT Southwestern. Dr. Fathi is the founder of Phoenix Surgical Dermatology Group, a participant in the Mohs Surgeons Leading the Future program, and served as ACMS Scientific Program Chair in 2025. He holds faculty appointments at Mayo Clinic Arizona, Midwestern University, and Creighton University.
