Joseph F. Sobanko, MD, MBA, is Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he serves as Director of Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Surgery and specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction. Throughout his career, he has been deeply committed to educating and mentoring residents, fellows, and early-career dermatologic surgeons. He has authored more than 160 peer-reviewed publications and has received national recognition for his work in dermatologic surgery, patient safety, and outcomes research. He is an active leader within the American College of Mohs Surgery and is particularly passionate about helping trainees develop surgical judgment, technical excellence, and fulfilling careers.
