Two novel wound closure products invented by a Mohs Surgeon and Plastic Surgeon: The HEMIGARD Adhesive Retention Suture (ARS) device is clinically indicated for closing wounds under tension and wounds on fragile skin. Clinical benefits include 90% reduction of wound dehiscence in lower extremity closures, 25% increase in wound perfusion compared to sutures alone, prevention of skin tearing, reduced undermining, faster closures and more. Surgeons call the HEMIGARD ARS device, "Brilliant!". The SUTUREGARD Intraoperative Skin Relaxation (ISR) device enables more Mohs defects on the scalp and nose to be closed without flaps, grafts, or second intent healing. Using the ISR results in 65% less wound tension with 30 minutes of skin relaxation.
